As recipients of federal funds, skilled nursing facilities are required to establish and follow the practice of nondiscrimination and reasonable accommodations to care for residents with disabilities s defined by the American with Disabilities Act (ADA). FHCA's Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance Tools include an on-demand webinar and handouts, along with a resource book that will better explain how the ADA impacts skilled nursing center services, what ADA requirements must be followed to ensure compliance and share examples of guidelines, postings and informational tools.
COST: Free to FHCA Members
Developed by FHCA's Risk/Compliance Council for FHCA members-only, these resources should be used as a guide and not construed as legal advice. Facilities should consult with their clinicians, legal counsel and other appropriate team members on these and other risk management activities.
