Nicholas “Nick” Gabriele has nearly 40 years’ experience in health care code compliance, fire protection and emergency management, Nick knows the regulatory landscape of the health care industry. As a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Nick has led teams across North America and the globe to provide fire and life safety and emergency management services to a range of regional and state health care entities, including health care systems, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and long-term care. Nick’s fire safety experience includes years as both a career and volunteer firefighter. He is a certified Fire Service Instructor and has taught advanced courses in firefighter training, incident command and hazardous materials response. Prior to joining our team, he served as Fire Chief with the State of Connecticut, directly responsible for the protection of a vulnerable residential population with the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services. Nick is currently the Chair of the NFPA 99 Technical Committee on Health Care Emergency Management and Security and a Primary on the NFPA 101 Life Safety Code® Board and Care Facilities Technical Committee.
Roger Glick
Jensen Hughes
Roger Glick is an emergency management expert with specific expertise in healthcare. Having more than 20 years in the industry, he has worked with rural Critical Access Hospitals, large academic medical centers, regional healthcare systems, healthcare coalitions, colleges and universities, and government organizations. He leads multi-disciplinary teams specializing in system preparedness, emergency response & recovery, program evaluation, Continuous Quality Improvement, and policy development and advocacy.
Roger is a respected industry leader, educator, and researcher. He has been a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) since 2009, and in 2020 was elected to be the ACHE Regent for the Central and Tidewater regions of Virginia. He earned the International Association of Emergency Managers’ highest designation in 2009, the Certified Emergency Manager (CEM). He is a faculty member at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, with appointments in the Departments of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine. He serves as an Executive Committee member of the National Pediatric Disaster Coalition. He has numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, and invited presentations.
