Skilled Nursing Facility SBAR - Elopement Work Group

This tool is designed to assist the skilled nursing facility (SNF) team with determining if a missing resident is a situation of AMA, LOA, elopement or even considered a kidnapping utilizing the SBAR structure.

Developed by FHCA's Risk/Compliance Council Elopement Workgroup for FHCA members-only, these resources should be used as a guide and not construed as legal advice. Facilities should consult with their clinicians, legal counsel and other appropriate team members on these and other risk management activities.
