When a Nurse Should Call a Provider Resource Video

When a Nurse Should Call a Provider Resource Video

As part of a nursing center's efforts to reduce rehospitalizations, it's important that nurses are comfortable with when to call a physician. Communication is imperative for resident management to help prevent rehospitalization. Nurses who are confident and organized when communicating with physicians are better equipped to present a complete clinical picture and facilitate appropriate provider response. The Moxie Health Group has created this five-minute video to start the discussion and support better clinical assessment and communication skills for nurses in a skilled nursing facility. It offers foundational guidance for effective communication with providers in emergent, non-urgent, and routine situations and is designed to promote clear, timely communication that supports optimal patient outcomes in an effort to reduce rehospitalizations.
